As a 6 Advisors Coach, I make an effort to help people not only recognize areas they need to improve, but also be aware of strengths.
Key word: accuracy. Accurate awareness about yourself is key, without that accuracy, one essentially is left to act according to habit.
But with knowledge comes the power to change, to choose one's path.
Great blog post here.

Summer Rain
All afternoon we had been hearing thunder, and the clouds portended rain, but we were all pretty set to get out of the house. So, we decided to go for a bike ride.
We headed out towards the Provo River, and proceeded towards Utah Lake. A couple miles in, we stopped at a bench and went down to the riverside to throw rocks and stuff.
That's when the rain started.
Not no wussy light rainfall, mind you. Good sized raindrops.
Since we were pretty far from the house, Bec and I just decided to enjoy the moment and not worry about getting back home right then. Of course this meant we'd be soaked, but oh well.
There's this great swing on the river trail that we stopped at on the way back home. Everyone (including mom and dad) had a turn on the giant swing. While there the rain kept coming down and thunder rumbled in the distance. Maile and Isaac were worried about getting hit by lightning, so they asked if they could pray that we wouldn't get hit. I take it that since I'm writing this, their prayers were answered.
We headed home in the downpour and had a lot of fun. We even stopped by the Powell's to show off our wetness, which of course prompted Porshe and Tesa to come out and play in the gutters, too.
All in all, a great family outing, the stuff that allows me to say "hey, not bad, dad."
